The first step in searching for the right scooter is to work out what you want out of your purchase and what matters to you most. 

You might consider: 

• How much are you looking to spend? 
• What is the warranty and after sales survive like?
• How fast is delivery? 
• Does it need to be assembled or does it come ready to use? 
• Does the scooter come with any accessories or will it need any? 
• How easy is the scooter to charge? Are the batteries removable? 

How people intend to use their mobility scooters will vary, whether it to be for visits to the supermarket, for trips into town, browsing shops or for longer distance outings. It is important that you think about what you will use the scooter for most and tailor your search around this. 

For example, if you are looking for a scooter to help you pop to the shops and into town, the distance the scooter can travel on a single charge isn’t going to be as important a factor compared to someone who wants a mobility scooter for ventures further afield. Or for someone taller, the legroom and comfort of the scooter is going to take higher priority in the search for a scooter than someone shorter.
