I purchased one of these scooters which good expectations. Within 5 weeks the drive stopped working afier just over 2 miles on the odometer. I was asked to take the unit to anoyjer mobility outlet near me to find out what the issue was. The failure was in the transaxle.. What is most dissasppointting is that I has to pay return carriage for a unit that is "not fit for purpose". I was even told the supplier would inspect the unit to make sure there was no meglective use. To say I am not happy is an understatement. I will post further when/if I get a satisfactiry outcome.
Amazing! Really excellent service in all ways. My Lupin was delivered on the day I requested with accurate times given by the courier. During the trial period, all my phone calls were answered immediately and all questions more than satisfactorily answered. I loved Lupin, but unfortunately it was too heavy for us to lift and manoeuvre into the car and so it was returned without hassle. My money was refunded very promptly. Just a couple of things, we did find it difficult to lift out of and back into the box and there is no way of locking it whilst in shops.
Thank you Betty and Bertie.
I purchased the Zinnia Autofold Scooter and the Atlas4 Hoist along with other items. From Betty and Bertie. I must say what a wonderful company this is.
The Staff are so helpful and friendly and nothing is to much trouble. I certainly recommend
any one thinking of buying a mobility scooter to look at Betty
and Bertie.com in Reigate Surrey
I'm happy to say that the scooter arrived safely and as planned,
Once I remembered that there is no 'electromagnetic' braking (!) I was away! I'm impressed by its sturdy build, simplicity in design,
proper handle bars, the rear wheel drive and efficient brakes. I like the proper throttle feel and the three available speeds.
(The top speed is most definitely for 'off-road' experience - great fun and very useful at times. I speak as an 86 year old!
(When is this country going to come in line with European, and, some other countries' regulations!?)
On a personal note, I like the freewheeling facility, not just because it contributes to battery saving, but because it does demand a certain
alertness when using the scooter in shopping malls especially. (An alertness sometimes missing in conventional scooter users, I've noticed and experienced.)
The design of the scooter is eye-catching, and how good to have some mud guards.
I hope that I'm giving the impression of satisfied delight. Thanks for your help in being able to acquire the Lupin.
Haven’t purchased one. I was so attracted to this scooter only to realise it’s 8mph max speed. For a young man this is far too slow.. Please upgrade these models and offer a more powerful battery.
