Warranty Claims
This page explains the limited manufacturer’s warranty provided with Betty and Bertie mobility scooters and how to make a warranty claim.
This warranty is provided in addition to your statutory rights under UK consumer law and does not affect those rights.
Our Warranty Promise
We strive to ensure that you are happy with your purchase at all times and will respond speedily in the unlikely event that your product develops a fault during the warranty period in the following way;
A Betty&Bertie staff member will contact you within one working day (except on weekends or bank holidays) of us receiving a notification of a problem. If your problem cannot be rectified over the phone, it will be necessary to return the equipment to our workshop for diagnostic and repair work to be carried out. If you live locally, the equipment can be brought back in person or we can arrange a collection by our Courier company. However, where this option is used it will be necessary for you to reuse the original packaging that the equipment was delivered in to protect it during shipping and to pay the courier cost. We always aim to help in a constructive way and get you back on the road in the shortest possible time – we understand how important this is.

Covered Components
- Electronics and controllers (manufacturing defects only)
- Motors and drivetrain components (manufacturing defects only)
- Frame and structural components (manufacturing defects only)

4. Remedy Under This Warranty
If a warranty claim is accepted, Betty and Bertie will determine the appropriate remedy, at its sole discretion, which may include:
- Repair of the fault
- Replacement of the faulty component
- Replacement of the scooter with an equivalent model

Repairs may be carried out using new, reconditioned or equivalent parts.

Before any warranty claim can be accepted, you must first contact our Customer Service Department.
The warranty process:
- Contact Customer Services to discuss the issue
- Provide proof of purchase or Order Number
- Provide photographs, video or other diagnostic evidence if requested
- Await confirmation of whether the issue may be covered and agreement of next steps
No inspections, repairs or returns should be arranged without prior authorisation.
Any investigation, repair or modification carried out without prior written authorisation from Betty and Bertie will void this warranty in relation to the affected components.
6A. Inspection and Assessment
Betty and Bertie reserves the right to inspect the scooter or any component as part of the warranty assessment process. A warranty claim cannot be accepted until an inspection or sufficient diagnostic evidence has been provided.
7. Used and Ex-Demonstration Scooters
Used or ex-demonstration scooters may show signs of prior use and cosmetic wear.
Warranty coverage for these scooters applies only to confirmed manufacturing defects. Cosmetic condition, prior usage and demonstrable wear are not grounds for a warranty claim.

This warranty is provided in addition to your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
The remedies available under this warranty are separate from and do not define or limit any remedies available under statute.
Nothing in this warranty limits or excludes your statutory rights.
