A person is 'chronically sick or disabled' if he or she is a person with either:
- a physical or mental impairment which has a long term and substantial adverse effect upon his or her ability to carry out everyday activities or
- a condition which the medical profession treats as a chronic sickness.
It does not include an elderly person who is not disabled or chronically sick or any person who is only temporarily disabled or incapacitated, such as with a broken limb.

Folding Your TravelScoot Escape Mobility Scooter
- Remove the seat backrest: Locate the pin under the seat. Push the pin inwards. While holding the pin, pull the backrest bar outwards to remove.
- Detach the seat: Find the adjustment clip on the right side bar near the right wheel. Open this clip fully. Lift the seat upwards and out of the frame.
- Fold the handlebar: Locate the metal pin at the bottom of the frame. Push this pin inwards. While holding the pin, fold the handlebar downwards. The handlebar will lock into its folded position with an audible click.
Note: The seat backrest and main seat frame will remain separate from the main frame when folded.
Unfolding Your TravelScoot Escape Mobility Scooter
- Unfold the handlebar: Find the pin at the bottom of the frame near the front wheel. Push this pin downwards. While holding the pin, pull the handlebars upwards to their full upright position. Ensure they lock securely in place.
- Reattach the seat: Open the adjustment clip on the bottom of the right side bar near the right wheel. Carefully align the seat frame with the corresponding holes in the main frame. Lower the seat into position.
Close the adjustment clip to secure the seat in place. - Install the seat backrest: Locate the slots under the back of the seat. Align the backrest with these slots. Push the backrest firmly into position until you hear a click, indicating it's securely in place.

- Ensure all components are securely locked before using the scooter.
- Store the detached seat and backrest safely when the scooter is folded to prevent damage.

- Remove the seat backrest by pushing in the pin located under the seat and pulling the bar outwards.
- Remove the seat from the frame by opening the adjustment clip located on the right side bar near the right wheel and pulling the seat upwards out of the frame.
- Note that the seat backrest and the seat main frame will remain unattached from the main frame when folded.
- Fold down the handlebar by pushing in the metal pin at the bottom of the frame and then folding down the handlebar. It will lock into place when folded down.
Unfolding
- Push down the pin at the bottom of the frame near the front wheel and pull the handlebars upwards to their upright position.
- Open the adjustment clip located on the bottom of the right side bar near the right wheel. Position the seat frame into the holes, then close the clip to secure it in place.
- Slot the backrest of the seat into position located under the seat at the back, and it will click into place.
